This is my newest sketch release and a quick tutorial... I hope you enjoy and if you would like this sketch please check out my Etsy Shop... Thank you so much for visiting... xo
This video is about making my Happy Mail a little more creative. I love sending out happy mail but what I love best is creating on the envelopes to add some of my creative soul to it. It's always an original because I do it right on the envelope and I mostly do it to give my special person a little bit of my art that is only theirs.
I hope yo enjoy this video and I inspire you to create one of a kind Happy Mail Envelopes to share.
Try and make a little Art Magic everyday... Enjoy and get inspired...xo
Here is my Designs Team project for Anything But A Card April's Challenge...Fool's Gold.
I have never attempted a Geisha before and my dear friend Susan is visiting me and sketched this lovely Geisha for our sketch release for April. I just had to color her for this challenge and for our new sketch release. I used Dura-Lar, it's an acetate alternative. I then used my H20's right on top to color her and what a surprise I got. Absolutely amazing technique which I used before on some of my butterflies I did a tutorial on but never on a larger piece like this one. I also used gesso for her skin and acrylic for her hair. I have done a tutorial for this picture to inspire you to try this technique for yourself. You can purchase the sketch for this Geisha in our Etsy Shop.
Please come and join us over at Anything But A Card and have some fun with this challenge.
New Tutorial here...kind of long but I do show you some of the changes I make to her as I go along. Sometimes things just don't go as we like them to and we need to make some changes. Well, I left some of that video in for you to see. The idea that we always are happy with what we do is NOT so. Plenty of times I want to just thow a painting in the garbage and then I have to stop myself and think about it, or just leave it for a while then come back to it with some fresh ideas. You can also work a painting too much, which is so frustrating.
I hope you enjoy this and maybe get some inspiration from it. If you make it to the end I have some footage of my gardens and my outside hangout. I also do a shout out to some of my favorite mixed media artists on youtube.
Thank you for visiting me...remember to share the love...xo
Here is a Master Board I did for the Designs Team Challenge over at The Mirror Crack'd.... I hope you can stop by and check out all the beautiful entries and DT inspiration. We have lots of fun and would love for you to join in the challenge.
I started out making this master board with a Gelli Plate, acrylic paints, and stencils, then I added stamps, water colors, and markers. I then cut the master board up and made 3 really pretty post cards for Happy Mail! I hope you enjoy! Thank you for watching and visiting my blog...xo
I would like to share with you a tutorial I did making 2 pennants. One is for my youngest granddaughter Sophia. A few years back I had made them for my older 2 granddaughters, Mackenzie and Ellia, but Sophia wasn't born yet so she didn't get one. Now grandma is trying to catch up. lol
I hope you enjoy and get some inspiration from watching this. If you have time please check it out, the video is not too long... I really do try to make them enjoyable. These are simple to make and lots of fun. Leave me a comment and let me know if you got some inspiration to make one...I love hearing from you all.
